HOW TO use Simple Present Tense

The uses of Simple Present Tense :

1. To express "habit".

2. To express "General Truth"


Pattern.

Subject + V1 + Object

- I go to office everyday.
- You go to office everyday.
- We go to office everyday.
- They go to office everyday.
- He goes to office everyday.
- She goes to office everyday
- Adi goes to office everyday.
- Adi and Ali go to office everyday.

- I/You/We/They/Adi and Ali + go
- He/She/Ali + goes

In adding "s" / "es" / "ies" the following are the rules :

@ ...........ended with CONSONANT or sound look likes CONSONANT + s
- dig -> digs
- read -> reads
- take -> takes
- close -> coses
- sleep -> sleeps
- win -> wins
- run -> runs

@ ...........ended with CH / SH + es
- wash -> washes
- catch -> catches
- brush -> brushes
- push -> pushes
- watch -> watches

@ ...........ended by "Y".
- if before Y is a vowel it will be added by "s"
1. play -> plays
2. stay -> stays
3. pay -> pays

- if before Y is a consonant, the "y" will be changed by "ies"
1. fly -> flies
2. cry -> cries
3. try -> tries
